Peter Michael Marino:
Peter Michael Marino is an award-winning, NYC-based writer, teacher, director and actor. He is the creator and co-producer of SOLOCOM, which launched over 150 original solo comedies at NYC’s The People’s Improv Theater. His own solo comedy, Desperately Seeking the Exit, received 5-star reviews at the 2012 & 2013 Edinburgh Fringe and chronicled the making and unmaking of his musical Desperately Seeking Susan, which played in London and Tokyo. This critically acclaimed show transferred to London’s Leicester Square Theatre in 2013 after sold-out runs in NYC, Florida, Philadelphia, Hollywood and Adelaide, Australia. Peter received the 2010 & 2011 Backstage Readers Choice Award for Favourite Comedy Teacher for his ongoing Flying Solo classes at The PIT. Solo show directing credits include: Nice T*ts, 20 & Out, From Como to Homo, Delilah Dix: America’s Showgirl, Mad Man, Margo Rose LIVE!, Head Games, Chickapalooza, and dozens more. Theatre directing credits include A Christmas Twist, Don’t Pick Up, Jackie Lantern’s Halloween Revenge, Character Witness and the development of dozens of new works with Tom Fontana (Copper) at the Writers Theater. Other writing and performance credits include the award-winning NYC cabaret-spoofs All About Me! and More About Me!, and Hollywood Nurses – an homage to the lesbian pulp novels of the 1950s. His voice can be heard on dozens of TV and radio commercials and he banged on cans in STOMP for five years Off-Broadway.
